Sandy Point National Wildlife Refuge is a protected and pristine natural habitat on the west end of St Croix. It's also one of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean open on weekends from 10 am to 4 pm from the first weekend in September through the last weekend in April. It is closed to the public during the summer because it is critical nesting habitat for the endangered Leatherback sea turtle as well as nesting for other endangered sea turtles (Hawksbills and Green Sea Turtles).
