Walk for the Wild: 1 Mile Beach & Roadway Loop
A 2-hour evening bird-watching and hiking adventure on the beach and roadway at Sandy Point National Wildlife Refuge. Identify sea turtle tracks in the sand, spot birds with binoculars, and enjoy the sunset during the one-mile walk for wildlife. T-shirts will be available for purchase and free prizes!
Please bring enough water and wear protective clothing & shoes for a one-mile walk on uneven sand and gravel surfaces. Please plan accordingly with layers of clothing and bug spray if necessary.
NOTE: There are no public restrooms available at the refuge. Please schedule a restroom stop before your arrival. Also, transportation in and out of the refuge is your responsibility.
