Sandy Point Beach Closes for Summer!

It’s the last day of of the season at Sandy Point beach until the first weekend in September! This stunning stretch of untouched coastline is one of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean and a protected haven for endangered sea turtles. Closed all summer to protect nesting leatherbacks and hawksbills, Sandy Point beach is open to the public on weekends only, from 10 AM to 4 PM September through March.
Famous as the breathtaking final scene in The Shawshank Redemption, this no-facility, carry-in/carry-out beach offers crystal-clear waters, soft sand, and unbeatable views.
