Wings & Waves: Bird Watching & Nature Hike

A 2-hour morning bird-watching and hiking adventure. Spot birds with binoculars in the Sandy Point National Wildlife bird blind and enjoy an educational talk about the birds of Sandy Point.
Hike out to the beach to see birds, native plants, and other critters that make Sandy Point their home. Walk away from this hiking adventure with bird identification skills, knowledge of the ecology of Sandy Point, and a connection to the wings and waves that grace our island!
Please bring enough water and wear protective clothing & shoes for a two-mile walk on uneven sand and gravel surfaces. NOTE: There are no public restrooms available at the refuge. Please schedule a restroom stop before your arrival.
